Following the recent trend towards the adoption of VoIP in the home, as well as the office, WiFi Phones offer Cordless Phone capabilities and a lot more: presence (create a buddy list for who’s on-line), data/SMS/MMS services to the handset, same phone same phone number but in the home, in the office or anywhere in the world.
For WiFi Phones our market research has identified the high cost of currently available handsets as a primary limiting factor to the growth of this market. We have therefore defined a solution which can provide a major reduction in cost, enabling handsets to end customers as low as $100. Due to our embedded signal processing capabilities, it is also possible to scale this design to achieve mid and even high-end products.
